Each new group has opened a savings account, elected office bearers and begun weekly savings.
Forty-five new Self Help Groups were formed across Palwal district this quarter, adding roughly 540 women to the Saathi network.
Every group has elected a president, secretary and treasurer, agreed a weekly savings amount, and opened a group savings account. Record-keeping training — attendance registers, savings ledgers and minutes books — was delivered at the time of formation.
Groups become eligible for bank linkage after six months of regular savings and disciplined meetings. Saathi's field team reviews each group's records monthly until then.
