A three-day camp across seven villages covered savings discipline, UPI payments, loan documentation and fraud awareness.
Saathi Livelihoods completed a three-day financial literacy camp across seven villages of Hathin block, reaching more than 400 women from 38 Self Help Groups.
Sessions covered household budgeting, the difference between saving and investing, how to read a passbook, and safe use of UPI and mobile banking. A dedicated module on fraud awareness explained OTP misuse, fake loan agents and unregistered chit funds.
Bank officials from two regional rural banks joined the final day to explain SHG bank linkage documentation and answer questions about interest subvention.
"The women asked sharper questions than we expected," said one of the visiting branch managers. "They wanted to know exactly what happens if a repayment is late."
Follow-up village meetings are scheduled every fortnight for the next quarter.
