A month-long programme on cattle care, milk quality, fodder management and dairy book-keeping concluded this week.
Sixty women from 12 Self Help Groups completed a month-long dairy enterprise training programme conducted in partnership with the district veterinary department.
The curriculum combined animal husbandry with business skills: cattle nutrition and fodder planning, clean milk production, disease identification, milk fat testing, and simple daily book-keeping for a dairy unit.
Twenty-two participants have already approached their groups for internal loans to purchase additional milch animals. Saathi's livelihood team will support them through the bank linkage process.
